8. Types of Commanders

Commanders can be purchased via Dark Matter or in-game credits in the Space Store. There are a total of 5 commanders that can be hired, each of them giving you certain benefits. In the following section we will explain which commanders will provide you with what benefits for a certain amount of time.  

Commander Commander:
Allows you to build or upgrade 2 buildings at the same time. Additionally, it reduces construction and upgrade time by 10%. This is very useful! Think about it, you can basically build twice as much, so your queue time is effectively halved! Recommended!

Technocrat Technocrat:
She allows increase your Espionage levels by 2 and also reduces research time by 25%. This can be quite beneficial if you wish to invest a lot of resources into researching! Recommended!

Admiral Admiral:
The Admiral increases your overall fleet size by 2 reduces defence unit construction time by 10%. While the bonus on the fleet size is nice, the latter bonus is not as good as it sounds.

Geologist Geologist:
This guy increases your overall resource production by 10%. We don’t this commander is good choice, as most of your resource gathering later on will depend of PVP and Neb Runs. However if you choose to mine on planets as your main income, you may want to consider this!

Engineer Engineer:
After being defeated, the engineer will guarantee that you keep 50% of your defensive units. Additionally, it also adds to 10% of nuclear power production. Our advise, skip this!

As you can see, we really recommend that if you decide to spend some Dark Matter or in-game Credits for thee commanders make sure that you know what you need. Please remember that you are just hiring them for a given time, they are not permanent! Enjoy!
